INGREDIENTS
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced longways
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 pound ground beef or ribeye, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper
- 4 medium flour tortillas, cut in half
- 4 slices provolone cheese, cut in half or quarters
- Flour slurry: 1/4 cup flour plus 1/4 cup water
- Cheese Whiz, for topping
- Hot sauce, for dipping
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, preheat frying oil to 360 degrees.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, saute onions and peppers until soft and tender, about 5 to 8 minutes.
